Health Care
Quinta da Broeira and Quinta das Malhadas farms are located at 2km away from Medical Services, where a full team of doctors and nurses are available on a 9am to 6pm working days period.
Emergency Medical Services
The nearest hospital is the Santarem Hospital, located at 15km from Cartaxo. This hospital has a Paediatric Emergency service.
At summer camps every year we have staff with First Aid and CPR certification, to deal with minor issues.
My Camp work closely with Hospital, Medical Services and Police Department, every year all these entities are aware of summer camp's schedules and activities.
Medication, Disease and Illness
At My Camp we only administrate medication with a formal consent of parents or guardians.
The type, name and dosage of the drug should be part of the registration process of your child. The medication should be clearly labelled with dosage and any other recommendation. Please do not neglect any information that could be important to the health of your child.
All health issues are kept private and all efforts made so that the child has a normal summer camp experience.
On first day at camp parents/guardians should leave all medication with the counsellor.
If by any case a child is taken to an Emergency Medical Service or Hospital, parents/guardians will be warned as soon as possible.
Problems and other family situations can change the child's behaviour, if the child has experienced a recent upsetting situation let us know so that we can be aware of any strange behaviours.
Hygiene
My Camp facilities have bathrooms that respect individuality and privacy of every child.
Children and teens are under supervision to assure daily hygiene habits. Our camp policy demands a daily shower and the brushing of teeth.
